Blasting media available includes chilled iron grit, steel shot, glass bead and aluminium oxide. Chilled Iron Grit Blasting with chilled iron grit is ideal for removing existing coatings and burn off residue as well as providing a good key for painting. Chilled iron grit is also ideal for cleaning welds and removing sand and runners from castings as well as the etching of structural steel and components prior to coating. Chilled iron grit is available in our hand cabinets for surface treatment to SA 2.5 standards. Steel Shot Anti Bacterial. These coatings provide an extra barrier to the spread of harmful bacteria in sensitive environments such as Hospital and Healthcare Facilities, Medical Equipment, Food and Drink Processing and Childcare Areas. Anti Bacterial Powder Coated finishes contain active silver ions and are specially formulated to penetrate the cell walls of unhealthy bacteria and inhibit and control their spread and growth. Surfaces coated with Anti Bacterial Powders deliver a constant and controlled release of silver ions and remain active for up to 10 years. They are suitable for coating metal items in the following areas; Hospital and healthcare facilities. Medical Equipment. Food Processing areas and equipment. Water treatment Plants.
